26th July 2010

We are celebrating today after Lancaster City Council’s planning committee approved our plans to redevelop our land at Forge Bank, by the River Lune at Halton, near Lancaster.

Project manager Jon Sear said: “This is a really important milestone for us. It means we can now start the detailed design work, get the necessary funding agreements in place and appoint a building contractor to work with us. If people wish to join the project, there are still a few homes available to buy and business units to rent.”

The project takes a huge step forward!

Press release for this event.

25th July 2010

One three bedroom house has become available, due to a household switching to a two bedroom house. Apply now. Don't miss out!

8th July 2010

We've recently welcomed 3 new households!

We expect Planning Permission to be approved on 26th July.

We still have 5 x 2 bedroom units and 4 x 1 bed flats available. Don't miss out.

Our next phase of recruitment has started as with the deadline of Sep 26th for a decision in the October GM. We welcome all applications and would particularly encourage households who wish to use workspace in the mill. Please see the 'join' page for more information and an application form to become a prospective member.
