We finished designing the homes to the level of detail required for planning permission and submitted a planning application in April 2010. Planning consent has now been granted, so the main construction should start in early 2011 and be substantially completed in early 2012. This timescale applies to the first 34 homes. Six three-bedroomed houses lend themselves to forming a subsequent phase and will not necessarily form part of the cohousing community.
